Hi all,
Has anyone tried tandem paragliding in the TRNC? I think there is only one company offering these "air tours" - Highline Paragliding.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has given it a try.

Christine and I have promised to add this to our list of mad things we have done. Once we get settled in the New Year we are off down to see the New Zealand lady who runs the place at Girne Marina. Got all the info off her in August and the whole things sounds sa........f.......e. Will let you know what happens.......hopefully!! David |

David, if you haven't done it yet, you must!
I wrote an article for the Cyprus Today, with photos, when the Highline paragliding company first started, and Gill, the editor, said the article wasn't complete without a first-hand account! I realy didn't want to go, and felt sick before takeoff, but it was a marvelous experience. The pilots gave me confidence, the take off was without incident and the landing was just a case of straightening my legs when I was instructed and standing on the ground. Inbetween, the views were tremendous and you are asked if you want to do a coaster ride, swirls and swings etc, or if you just want a plain sail. Try to pick a day with good visability and take your camera! Jean |

My Husband and kids did this last year, they can only rate it is excellent. Oscar, one of the Pilots was incredibly skilled and went with my husband, they flew up higher than the castle and we have some excellent photographs, the views are incredible. He said coming down was not scary and had a soft landing. Do try - well worth it apparently. I will try to remember to bring a couple of piccies to post.

hi i called in to see the operators a few months ago..they seem good.....i was hanglider in uk..would like to paraglide in trnc when i move...you may weel be bitten by the bug..be warned...lol...see you on the hill...snobie

Did tandem paragliding in New Zealand and despite being terrified of heights loved every minute of it...it has got to be done !
