This was one of the first posts off the msn board so i felt it only fair to post it on here this is not my oppinion but that of other visitors and their friends who emailed me to support what happened.

 well she tried and she can not sing "shouts as loud as she can"
 
 I and 4 friends visited this  bar 29 September 2005 had the  WORST FISH AND CHIPS EVER the fish was cold and runny inside the stodgy batter the chips were frozen ( sacrilege  to use frozen chips in Cyprus).
 
This was not the first visit we knew she was loud but we were meeting others there so hey give her another go .
 
Well the Fat lady sang and 8 of us will not visit this over priced place again.
 
Yes we I did complain to the staff on the night the altitude was to say the least not good

Cheers bar is on the strip in lapta watch out for the jimmy he has no work permit  and allegedly peels spuds........and is rudE IF YOU DARE TO COMPLAIN  allegedly

Cheers bar is a very nice bar and restaurant and we have visited this place many times over the years, and have fantastic meals and enjoyed many summer nights there.

Jimmy is Turkish Cypriot - why would he need a work permit ? The lack of factual information must lead one to question the quality of the other posts. Could this be related to an incident at Cheers when a group of people were thrown out because they started fighting amongst themselves ?

Unfortunately this site is going the same way as others. It is frightening to think that people believe some of the postings made by certain characters on these boards. It is only after seeing the history of some of these characters that you can sort out the wheat from the chaff.

To be honest about Cheers Bar or any bar for that matter, is to pay a visit and make up your own mind
as some people have very different tastes. If you dont like you dont go again.

I have a feeling you were the bunch that was asked to leave becuase you complained about everything and then refused to pay.
In my opinion, they have the best fish and chips , I agree she does sing a little on the loud side but a great family run business.
Dont knock it til you've tried it,, fantastic location too..
